Life is all good. I had a
good evening spent with my friends, got back, updated my Instagram, scrolled
the newsfeed, PSL is happening, a Bollywood diva deceased, and yes, I scrolled
something happened in Eastern Ghouta by Syrian government. Everything seems
completely fine as a part of everyday routine, isn’t it?
Was scrolling down
further the newsfeed and saw this tweet followed by a social media famous child
star enacting her humorous act and for a second I was shocked, something caught
me in between I was enjoying that act. I scrolled back up saw that tweet again
and I was tremor by mind what caught me was something I can’t state in words
but like a guilt, that guilt was not felt as Muslim but as a human. And my mind
started interweaving the differences among the two girls I just saw, two little
girls(almost the same age), two living beings, two different circumstances, two
different meanings of life.
Just for instance I
thought, once they had a nationality and used to be named as foreigners, now
they are written and termed as refugees or immigrants. Once they had homes, now
they have shelters.
Ah! what a word to
describe a place where people live or to be more precise where human exist. A place
where survival is a must play game and a necessity to win life.
A place where there are
children but childhood has been taken. Seeing strange men is no longer a
thought that they might be guests or tourist, but is a terror. shelter provided
as a roof is merely discarded
vinyl posters nailed to some wood. The dripping shades in rain, inadequacy of
basic life necessities. The lives of
people from everything to nothing breathes here.
Writing this down I have so many questions myself that I can’t even
answer the ones rose by you. How I know it is like the way I wrote? Well, I am
not an up to date person in current affairs but with all these questions I googled,
the least I could do while praying. Being a Muslim I have a firm believe on
Quran and sunnah and it does predict the signs of mass destruction we are
seeing today. Beyond this being a human first I condemn every drop of blood
shed of an innocent for what so ever any reason.
It has become a place where war has become a norm. More than 250,000 Syrians have lost their lives
in four-and-a-half years of armed conflict, which began with anti-government
protests before escalating into a full-scale civil war. More than 11 million
others have been forced from their homes as forces loyal to President Bashar
al-Assad and those opposed to his rule battle each other - as well as jihadist
militants from so-called Islamic State.
Several tales are knitted from here on the cost of millions of tales
that were never given a chance, even to live. And by this I believe I somehow
conveyed what I meant in the title. Syria now is not about living but surviving
and the cost is being paid by one’s life, that is beyond the worth.
Islamic reference:
It is the most expensive in the true meanings. Everyone have forsaken them except Allah. If it is a test for Muslim umah then I am afraid, they are failing.. and most of them don't even bother to know the small details you have put up. They use social media only for entertainment. May Allah guide all of us to the true path and may he forgive all of us..
